With aspirations to be a sportscaster for a top sports broadcasting TV network, I am taking advantage of many opportunities at High Point University to achieve my goal. As a sports communication major with a focus in sports broadcasting, I have worked as a sports anchor for the television network at HPU, called, HPU-TV. I have also worked behind the scenes of the production of Division 1 Big South and Southern Conference college sports. I also occasionally run on-field camera for HPU home games for the on-campus sports broadcasting organization, called, Sports-Link.

My interest and involvement in sports and in the media industry did not begin at HPU. Throughout high school, I took various television and video production classes. Furthermore, I took part in the filming of Men's varsity basketball games. I coached a local recreation basketball team of third and fourth-grade boys, and I have been a referee of local basketball and soccer since I was in eighth grade.
I also received a Rutgers concussion S.A.F.E.T.Y. certification, I am a Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructor, and Waterfront Lifeguard, as well as a Red Cross Certified administrator of emergency oxygen, First Aid, CPR, and AED.
