About My Blog

For my blog I've decided to maintain the theme of sport and sports. Ever since I was little I always had a great interest in sports; weather it be playing or watching. Now that I am no longer playing sports seriously (simply, because I'm not remotely good enough to play at the college or pro level), my focus is on professional sports. I enjoy watching most sports but my blog wont just be about last nights game, for example, it will also be about sport as a whole.

My major in college is Sports Communication with a focus on broadcasting. So discussing games and events in the sports world as well as analyzing how sport effects society will help me dig deeper into my major.

I hope to one day be a host on my own sports talk show on a big channel like ESPN or TNT. Exploring the sports world in this blog will be practice as well as possible demo/portfolio material to help me get hired.

Bob Ryan and Bill Simmons are two great sports columnists/ bloggers that I think of as models for my own writing. There both big basketball guys as am I, and I truly love both of their writing styles. ESPN and sports illustrated are two websites that have great writing sections.

My intended audience is all sport fans.
