New York Knicks Season Predictions

As the 2018-'19 NBA season is about to get underway, here are some Knicks predictions. Kevin Knox performed well during his rookie season summer league games. He averaged a stat line of 21.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. While this yields promise for the Knicks, with Kristaps Porzingis out for the beginning of the season, the Knicks may have some bumpy roads ahead. They still have a very interesting young core featuring Frank Ntilikina, Damyean Dotson and Mitchell Robinson that could fuel up the engine until Porzingis fully recovers from his ACL injury. Enes Kanter needs to step up big in the absence of Porzingis. He needs to play exceptional defence in the paint. He needs to be the anchor of the team. Trey Burke joined the Knicks midway through last season and he too showed promising talent. If he is named starting point guard this season, I think his explosive playstyle teamed up with the young Knicks roster can mean big things for this franchise. I also think that Burke can make a huge impact from the 6th man spot. I predict that the Knicks will win 45 games this season, a big step from the 29-win season they just came out off. I think 45 wins will put them in 8th place in the abnormally weak eastern conference. They will most likely lose to the 1st seed in the first round of the playoffs though (Likely Celtics or Raptors) I can also see Burke winning the 6th Man of The Year award, and Knox winning the Rookie of The Year award.
